The Cards Trust wishes to make it clear that it deplores the actions of a small minority of Woking fans who, following Tuesday evening’s match against Dartford, engaged in aggressive and unpleasant behaviour towards opposition fans and stewards.
The Trust is aware that the Club is deeply concerned about this matter. The Trust believes that the great majority of Woking fans will wholeheartedly support the Club in any action it is able to take to eradicate this sort of behaviour, which tarnishes the reputation of the Club and its fans. The Trust will co-operate fully with the Club and will ban from membership any person who is found to have been involved in this incident.
Rosemary Johnson, Chair of the Cards Trust and a Director of the football club, commented: “I and many other Woking fans witnessed the loutish behaviour of a small group of Woking fans in the car park area after the Dartford match. There was absolutely no excuse for what happened. Woking FC is a well-respected club but its reputation is being damaged by this sort of behaviour. I hope very much that we can all act together to stamp this out. I would ask anyone who knows the names of the people involved on Tuesday night to pass this information to the Chairman of the Club.”
