We're sending this newsletter out as an extra one because we have had a number of contacts from members about the banking glitch, below.
The Cards completed their pre-season home fixtures with an impressive come back against a Chelsea Under-23 side on Saturday, with a 4-3 win. Ex-Card Jayden Wareham opened the scoring for Chelsea, of course.
There was also a very good turn-out for the Sellebrity Soccer match despite the rain last week with over 3,000 coming along and meaning a really useful boost for the charities involved.
The Club is holding an 'Italian night' on Friday 13th in the Geoff Chapple Lounge, with attendance from Dowse and others - get to hear about his plans for the season - and don't miss his catch-up from last Friday. And talking of YouTube... the Laitwaite was featured on the FIFA 22 launch video - and has now been viewed more than 4 million times!
We're also in the final stages of testing of the new Away Travel booking system, which will allow online booking and payment as well as providing your tickets. We will be live in a few days with the Wealdstone (21st) and Torquay (30th) matches later this month.
Apologies - we have a glitch on our bank account which has caused some problems with Boost the Budget, 400 Club and other bank payments. You may get a note saying that your payment needs to be re-scheduled.
The Trust is working with the bank to fix this and so, for the moment, you should not need to reset up the payments as the bank has told us it will do this. However, we have been advised that it may take 10 days. Your patience and continued support is appreciated!
(Note that this does not affect payments made using the website system, only the direct standing orders)
