Well, I think most of us would have jumped at taking 9 points from the last four games, especially, when, with a bit of luck, it might have been 10! Still, it's on to FA Cup action this weekend with Dowse planning to play his strongest team against Horsham on Saturday. The Trust is running a coach (book here), but you need to buy your ticket in advance. You can get it here - and make sure you choose the 'away' option. Parking may be a challenge, so let the coach take the strain!
With the big crowds we have been getting, the Trust and the Club are looking for some extra volunteers to sell Goldrush Tickets (we raised >£500 on Saturday) and also programme sellers. Please contact Alan Barnes by email a.barn1572@btinternet or speak with Alan before a home game if you can help at all from around 1.30 before Saturdays and from 6.30pm on Tuesdays.
For away travel, bookings for Yeovil and Maidenhead are being taken already. The Trust tries very hard to help fans to get to games. However, we cannot afford to run coaches at a significant loss. To complicate things, to avoid a penalty charge, we have to cancel a week before. That means that if you rely on booking late, the coach may not run. We have come very close to that possibility a couple of times already this season. If you book early, you can cancel and get a refund up to a day before, so please, if you think you might want to go, book early!! (plus Adam and Alan get to sleep at night!)
There was no surprise about the Player of the Month for August and September. Details below.
Watch out for news of the AGM. We're planning, as usual, an element of 'Fans Forum' - we'll advise details shortly.
The Trust has finally managed to get things sorted with the bank accounts. Sadly, however, any standing orders for Boost the Budget during the closed period will have been rejected. That will mean that we will have to ask members to re-instate their standing orders as we cannot do it - the account holder needs to.
If you prefer, you can do it on the Trust website using a debit or credit card, that can also work. Memberships are processed using Paypal as the card processor (you don't need a Paypal account), while Boost the Budget uses Stripe. If you would like to pay your membership with Stripe, contact email@example.com.
Apologies for all the inconvenience.
(An earlier version of this article said that memberships were also affected, but that was inaccurate. Membership standing orders will still be OK. Apologies.)
