We start with a big thank you to all that have contributed to Boost the Budget, the 400 Club and to Goldrush tickets. As a result of your generosity, the Trust has been able to make a substantial contribution to the Club's funds (see below)
Thanks to all those that voted for the Cards' Player of the Month - details of the winner below.
The Club has posted quite a lot of news about the future with the complete management team signing new contracts through to 2023 in preparation for the switch to a full-time squad next season.
There was also good news thatCraig Rosshas also signed up for that period as Dowse starts to build his 2021/22 squad.
Moaners Corner Badges
Jon Woozley has kindly donated a number of badges to the Trust to celebrate 70 years of 'Moaners Corner'. Were waiting for advice that production has been completed when they will be available for sale on the website with all proceeds going to Boost the Budget. Watch the store.
Goldrush for Bromley Match... and Wrexham and Torquay (shortly)
Tickets for the Bromley Goldrush are available here and programmes are here. Watch out for avaiability of these items for the Wrexham and Torquay games over the next few days as we go into a run of three home games in 8 days.
An interesting item of news that was recently posted by the National League is the report on agent's fees paid by clubs. It's interesting to see the wide range of amounts spent! (Woking was not included as nothing was spent)
The Club is opposing the latest development plans submitted by Goldev - more below.
400 Club Draw
The next 400 Club Draw will be on 30th April. There's still time to get involved if you want to be in with a chance to win.
A Charity Wing Walk
A number of players and staff (fitting the height and weight restrictions!) have bravely volunteered to do a Wing Walk in aid of the Woking and Sam Beare hospice. If you want to contribute, please do so here. The brave volunteers have already raised over £2,500
Thanks to all those that have contributed to Boost the Budget, the 400 Club and have bought Goldrush tickets. As a result of your generosity, the Trust has been able to donate £16,000 to the Club to help with Dowse's Budget in these tricky times. Although government grants were available for the first half of the season, funds were only available as loans for the second half, so the Club has only (very) limited funds from the sale of streams* and from the Trust. It has been reluctant to take up the loans offered without the income to repay them.
*Note that if you became a Silver/Gold member when it looked as though fans would be allowed back, as they briefly were, you can get streams through to the end of the season without charge. Details are on the Club website here.
As you may be aware, the developers that the Club were working with over the plans for a new stadium have submitted revised plans for developing the area around the stadium.
These do not have the support of the Club as they do not provide the facilities of the original application and would restrict the Club's potential for development in the future. In fact, the Club is actively opposing these revised plans and we plan to post a link to the Club's detailed objections, lodged with the Council, in case you would like to add any personal objections once these become available for viewing.
Here are the detailed objections by the Club to the appeal.
