No National League Football - but Plenty Happening!
Although the National League is still deciding how to conclude the results of the Season, there is still plenty going on. We have a bigger prize draw coming up through the 400 Club and the big planning decision for the new stadium project is due next week.
The Club is organising its Community Day and there's a chance to participate through the Virtual Awards Dinner (see below). Not only that, the manager, Alan Dowson, who regularly comes to Trust events, has his 50th birthday today. Happy Birthday, Dowse!
The proposal, strongly backed by the club, to build a new stadium will be the subject of a formal planning decision on Tuesday 23rd June
You can see what the Club would like you to do, if you support the new development, here.
Supporters of the development will be pleased to know that the council's planning officer has recommended that the proposal is approved (top of Page 17 in the document that can be downloaded from here). However, that does not mean that the development is a 'done deal' and the planning committee needs to vote on the proposal on Tuesday.
You can listen to the discussion on the Borough Council website.
Plans are in place for a virtual "End of Season Awards" dinner which will be an opportunity for all fans to get in a takeaway and a tipple, say thank you to the players, hear from the manager and chairman and congratulate the winners of the Fans' Player of the Season and other awards.
